Take Time to Contemplate

Sometimes it seems that there is no time for contemplation in our busy lives.  I have had plenty of time to contemplate as I recover from a stupid virus that has sapped my strength.  I feel better today at last, but don't have the energy to put into a blog post.  At times like this I love thinking about the beauty of the outdoors so I offer you this photo.  Look at it awhile and feel the peace of meadow, mountains, and gentle river carrying fresh, clear water.  It is restorative to sit quietly and enter into the landscape.

In another day or two I will get back to my sewing machine.

Sew a happy seam this week.

  2. Now that I am retired, I need more time than ever to contemplate. This is a lovely picture to lose yourself in. I usually do that on my front porch watching the birds come and go at the feeders or by our fishpond, the most serene place on our property...small but soothing.

Hope you feel better. I think I'm getting that bug too.

  5. I hope you feel better soon! The picture is lovely, and it's easy to feel drawn in to such a peaceful scene. I can almost feel the water and the sharp rocks on my feet as I wade barefoot... :) Thanks for linking to MCM.

Bagged the Bag

My first attempt at a picnic bag was a fail.  You saw the pictures last week.  I kept revising the design.  I clipped where I shouldn't ...
