Living with 180 Degree Turns

Life is funny sometimes and flips us 180º every now and then.  We were off to a family funeral in Los Angeles, but the car broke down instead in the middle of the desert and we drove 40 miles at little more than 10 mph on the freeway to get service.  We spent the morning visiting mechanics in an unfamiliar town, and were lucky to get good advice and repair.  However, since my husband was still concerned about the car, we turned around and came home...without further difficulties.  Sadly, we missed the funeral, but I got to attend the Tsukineko Ink class at the Denver National Quilt IX Show.  I thoroughly enjoyed it, got my questions answered and played with the ink for awhile.  I didn't touch my Zentangle quilt as I didn't have the peaceful space in which I like to work.  I will have fun working on it later at the kitchen table when my sewing room is torn down to panel the walls.

So, friends, no pictures today, but you will be the first to see the results of my Zentangle Quilt when I get to it.  Thanks for the appreciative comments and praise.  I enjoyed reading every one.

BTW there were lots of beautiful quilts to see at the quilt show.  Long day, long drive, lots of eye candy.  I should have taken photos to share, but my brain was still spinning from the twists and turns of life.  I didn't think of it, but you can see  the winning quilts here.
